A word from the developer: Consistently maintaining a workout routine has always been a personal challenge for me, until I discovered the 100-Day Burpees challenge.

For the first time, I successfully completed 87 consecutive days of workouts. Unfortunately, my challenge came to an abrupt end on day 88 due to food poisoning. However, I am now excited to begin again with a fantastic new app that will help me track my progress.

I developed this app for various reasons:

  1. It provides the motivation I need to continue working out and allows me to monitor my progress, as I enjoy challenging myself.
  2. It offers effective home workouts without the need for any gear or equipment, making it ideal for people struggling to get back in shape.
  3. For those with a competitive spirit, it serves as an excellent tool to gamify workouts with friends.

Whether your fitness goals involve weight loss, improving overall fitness, or building muscle, you can customize the challenge to suit your level and preferences.

Here's how it works:

  1. Select an exercise from options such as burpees, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, kneeing push-ups, lunges, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and more.
  2. Choose the duration of your challenge: 3, 7, 10, 30, 60, 90, or 100 days.
  3. (Optional) Set a daily incremental target for reps (beginners often start with +1 rep per day), or maintain the same number of reps throughout the challenge by choosing 0.
  4. Select the number of reps you will perform on day one (for longer challenges, it is recommended to start with a smaller number).

For example:

  • Starting with 5 burpees today, I will add five more burpees every day for the next 10 days.
  • Beginning with 1 push-up today, I will increase the number by one each day for the next 30 days.
  • I will perform 7 jumping jacks daily for a week.

The key is to avoid overwhelming yourself with intense workout sessions right from the beginning. Gradually acclimating your body to movement is essential, and starting with manageable goals is the best way to combat procrastination.

I still remember when I embarked on my 100-day burpee challenge a few months ago. I simply started with one burpee per day and considered that my accomplishment. The following day, I added an extra burpee, and so on. Through this progression, I gradually gained strength and felt improvements in my overall well-being.

If someone had told me that I would eventually be able to complete 87 consecutive burpees when I began, I would have found it hard to believe.

So, the key is to start with achievable goals, show up every day, and strive for continual improvement.

One important rule in these challenges is that if you miss your required reps on a specific day, you must make up for it on the following day. For instance, if you were supposed to do 10 push-ups today but somehow missed it, you would then need to do 21 push-ups tomorrow. This built-in rule serves as an excellent motivator for maintaining consistency and dedication.
